PARIS:

Arrive by rail or air in the City of Lights, with optional private meet and-greet transfers available, then check into your hotel. Charming, "authentic" properties are available on either the Left or the Right Bank, all conveniently close to a Metro stop. Included in your Avanti Destinations package, the Visite Pass is good for unlimited travel on the Metro subway and buses, and is by far the best way to maneuver around Paris. Zones 1-3 pass takes you to 95% of the Paris sites While the Zone 1-5 pass can access Versailles and Park Disneyland.

PARIS:

After breakfast, you have a choice of departures for your half-day city tour, with the balance of your day at leisure to explore, shop or sit in a trendy Paris sidewalk café to simply relax and partake in the native Parisian's favorite activity ~ people watching.

 

Paris City Tour and Cruise:
Tour lasts 3.5 hours aboard an eight-passenger air-conditioned minibus with an English-speaking driver-guide. You will see the Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, Eiffel Tower (15-minute photo stop), Notre Dame Cathedral (20-minute photo stop), the Latin Quarter and finish with a visit to the artist's village of Montmartre. After the city tour you have a one-hour Seine River cruise (with commentary in English). (Your tour ends at the Pont de l'Alma with easy access to the Metro for the return to your hotel on your own.)

PARIS:

Explore the hip and trendy Marais/Jewish quarter, a trip to Pere Lachaise cemetery, take in the terrific view from Sacre-Coeur in Montmartre, an excursion to Giverny to see Monet's garden. If you are a flea market fanatic and are in Paris on the weekend, you're in luck. The marché aux Puces de Vanves is well worth the visit. Take the Metro to Port de Vanves, and get there early, as they will close up early afternoon.

PARIS TO NICE:

After breakfast at your hotel, make your way to the Gare de Lyon for your TGV journey to Nice. Optional transfers in Paris and Nice are available.

NICE:

After your breakfast, set off for the Hop-on/Hop-off Le Grand Tour of Nice and its many attractions. Use the tour to explore the many interesting neighborhoods and markets throughout the city.

 

Nice Hop-on/Hop-off Le Grand Tour:
Stops include the famous Promenade des Anglais, Port Quai Lunel, Place Garibaldi, Acropolis-Barla, Cimiez-Monastere (near Matisse museum), Chagall Museum, Place Massena at Avenue Verdun and more.

NICE:

After breakfast, be in your hotel lobby for pick up for either of the half day tours listed below.

 

Antibes and Cannes Tour:
Enjoy a panoramic Cannes tour seeing le Boulevard de la Croisette, le Palais des Festivals, le Marche Forville, the old town and pedestrian district, Suquet Area. Continue on by the seaside passing through Juan le Pins and the Cap d'Antibes until arriving in Antibes where we stop for some free time. Continue back to Nice via the seaside road, passing through the town of Cagneshippodrome and the Renoir museum. Monaco and éze Tour: Discover the natural beauty of the Basse corniche going to Monaco with a photo stop in Villefrance. You will drive through Beaulieu-sur-Mer before continuing along the seaside road past Cap d' Ali. Upon arrival in the principality of Monaco, you will have a panoramic tour of the area around the Palace. Continue to Monte Carlo city with a drive along the famous Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit and stop in the luxurious Casino Square which is surrounded by beautiful gardens and hotels. Coming back by the Moyenne corniche, stop for a visit at the perfume factory Fragonard. You will have free time in the wonderful medieval village of éze known for its very nice tapestry speciality and botanical garden. You will be dropped off at your Nice hotel upon our return.
